These terms apply when you use the HellaLingo app and hellalingo.com (“HellaLingo”, “we”, “us”). On the iPhone, the app is also licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms and Apple’s agreement differ, Apple’s agreement applies to the iPhone app. Please also read our privacy policy.

Using HellaLingo

You may use HellaLingo for your own learning. Please don’t copy, resell or republish its lessons, dialogues, exercises, questions, recordings or design, and don’t try to break, reverse-engineer or misuse the app or this website. Schools and teachers who would like to use HellaLingo with a class can write to us.

Our content

The course, dictionary, practice questions, recordings and design were created for HellaLingo and belong to us or our licensors. We work hard to keep the Greek and the facts correct, but mistakes can happen. If you find one, please tell us at support@hellalingo.com.

Exams and official information

HellaLingo is independent. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Cyprus, KEG (the Centre for the Greek Language), the Government of Cyprus or any exam body. Our practice questions and mock exams are written by us to help you prepare; they aren’t the real exam papers, and practising with them doesn’t guarantee a result. Facts about current affairs are correct as of the date shown in the app and can change. Always check official sources for exam rules, dates and residence or citizenship requirements.

Optional AI features

The AI features run on your own account: your ChatGPT plan, or an OpenAI or Anthropic API key you add. You’re responsible for that account, for following the provider’s terms and for any charges they make. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete, so treat them as help with learning, not as legal, immigration, medical or other professional advice.

Purchases

If HellaLingo offers anything for sale, payments, refunds and subscriptions are handled by Apple under the App Store’s terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or stop parts of HellaLingo, for example to improve lessons or keep facts current. We may also update these terms; if we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and continuing to use HellaLingo means you accept the new version.

Liability

HellaLingo is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by mistakes in content, by AI answers or by services we don’t control, such as your AI provider. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws of your country and can bring a claim there.
